Fashion site Styledash posted this neat video giving tips on how to walk in high heels, a fine art I admittedly haven’t mastered yet. There is at least a 0.99 correlation between heel height and my gait resembling that of a wooden puppet.

The video is promoting Legwork, a “high heel fitness workout.” I definitely like this idea, in theory, because it’s probably the only way to get my heels out of the closet. But it’s reminiscent of the Carmen Electra strip workout videos, which sounded fun in theory, but in practice, are collecting dust because I feel too ridiculous to take them out of the box.

A gal can’t hobble around on stilettos all the time, can she?

Runner’s World recently published its Spring Running Shoe Guide 2008.

The mag stress tests 27 different shoes with the help of 350 wear-testers, and posts fairly comprehensive reviews, classing the shoes into groups like ‘motion control’ and ‘stability’.  The reviews also include width, weight, and price, and identify ‘best buys’ and ‘editor’s choice.’

I already picked up a new pair of runners in January when all the ‘boxing week’ sales were on, so alas, I can only ogle these shoes for now.  But training to improve my 10k time for a race this summer, I expect to wear a hole in the new ones pretty quick.  That is, if I can peel myself away from the computer.  Umm…
