One of my favourite parts of starting a new year is cracking open a new page-a-day shoe calendar. The Shoe Gallery Collection is a year-long celebration of shoes. Images come from “an extraordinary private collection, as well as artists’ archives, museums, and the hottest runway shows.”
So many shoes are absolute works of art, and many of these I would never see outside a museum. The shoes range from way old historical stuff, to funky 60s styles, to wacky, whimsical, or just plain stunning contemporary pieces. And of course, there’s always some fug thrown in there. It’s like a new little piece of art on my desk every day.
